Wait… that’s the Mass Effect 3 ending?

Damn. That ending sucks.

Good thing I haven’t beaten number 1 yet, and haven’t forked over any cash for that ungodly abomination.

There’s a good explanation for the lack of Eve Online posts…

…in summary, I’m bored.

Finished watching the latest Top Gear

Nearly experienced the worst cause of death ever. “It would seem that somehow he choked on his ice cream sandwich while giggling at some old men suffering in cold British rain.”

I finally got to join my corp in doing a bit of Sleepers hunting. We had a couple of sites that needed attention, so they gathered up a carrier, a couple of ships with long range guns, and then for some reason they let me come along too with my short range lasers. I figured I’d probably find myself desperately fighting hordes of frigates off the backs of my comrades while they dealt with the big nasty things…

Much to my dismay there was only a handful of frigates, and it seemed like for most of the fight I was just orbiting the carrier, grumbling away while everyone sniped at each other. Was rather tempted to just fly after those big nasty ships and probe I could actually take a few of their hits, but annoyingly it seems I’m also going to need to invest the time to research Tech2 beam lasers so that I can actually contribute to these long range fights.

Ah yes, the famous Goonswarm humour… if one could really call it such. Politics? Who gives a damned about politics when foreign sounding type has a weird accent, hm?
Oh, the Goons are just laughing it up, before they resume sucking up to their great Chairman Mittani. No intent on actually discussing any issues going on with this little CSM elections, no, no, just parroting propaganda and then spew bile at any who dare disagree with their leader.
Despicable vermin.

I’m not really too sure how this happened.

I was in my latest frigate, Fey-05, since Fey-04 died a rather silly death because of my impulsive nature. With me was a collection of various frigates, destroyers, and cruisers, and nothing more, since someone on Red team didn’t want us to show off our battlecruisers (not that I cared. This alt can only fly frigs).

For some odd reason, we suddenly had a Bestower jump into the middle of it. Naturally we locked him, pointed him, and had a laugh at this poor noob trying to transport goodies while their gate was blockaded. We were even planning on letting the poor guy go too, until an Abaddon showed up.

This caused a bit of a reaction on our fleet channel, and sadly for the noob, the FC commanded we kill the indy quick (under the assumption he was bait, and needed to be rewarded as such), and try to kill this new ominous threat.

It was actually the first time I’ve gotten such a good look at a player controlled Abaddon. First time I got to see a hostile one at that. While dearly hoping that it wouldn’t notice me, I helped out by webbing and scrambling it, and began open firing with all of my (rather small) guns, while one of our guys quickly went boom, and another was starting to see his armour burn away from its lasers.

It was also the first time I had first hand experience at how it’s usually better to have many ships instead of one big slow one, as all that huge battleship with nasty guns could do was kill a single frigate, and nothing more. I’m still not too sure why he decided to suicide his ship like that, but it certainly helps my stats.

It also makes me wonder if a lot of these guys are just social losers who are/were picked on, and therefor morph into bullies online just to be able to take a turn at being one themselves?  What is it about EVE that causes the worst to come out in people?  Let me know what you think.

Bah! It’s not just Eve. In general, if someone think they can get away with something, and it gives them a thrill, they’ll do it. It happens outside of the internets, but it’s more frequent within because of the lack of true punishment.

Personally, I’d have to say I’m a little guilty in enjoying the suffering of others, though I usually get bored easily if there isn’t an element of risk to it. The problem I find with Eve is there isn’t exactly a constant level of risk, but that’s something that would take up several paragraphs in explanation. In short, I’m voting for that Hans guy, for various reasons, partially relating to this subject.

It’s been a rather eventful day in Eve. I managed to find a C1 rich in ISK, took on a couple of radar sites while the system started to really act up, and then endured even more bad luck by not only bringing the wrong tools, but almost getting lost on the other side of the galaxy by forgetting to bookmark a wormhole exit while purchasing the required codebreakers. (It’s not my fault analysers look so similiar!)

So, made maybe 80+ million Isk on that fumbled jaunt. Would’ve been more if I decided to do more than a couple sites, but I didn’t really feel like pushing my luck especially with a potential hostile watching me while I was buzzing around in a Noctis.

Decided to give my frigate alt another try and see if RvB was up to anything. Found myself in a fleet, found myself ominously staring at the reds, everyone started to go to bed, the remains of Blue fleet decided to just attack anyways, and things kind of got chaotic there. I know I fragged more Isk than what I was worth, though turns out drones don’t get a mention in kill mails, but still, didn’t have a clue what I was doing there.

A while later, some Aussies showed up, and formed up a proper fleet. For the first time ever in Blue fleet, not only did I manage to tackle the target, I was able to survive and watch the target quickly get fragged. Pity I didn’t think of taking a screenshot, though.
